A strong design brief begins with daily rituals, not a shopping list. The most useful details are the moments that currently feel difficult: entertaining, storage, light, privacy, children, pets, and maintenance.

Bring measurements, constraints, inspiration, and non-negotiables. Your designer can translate taste into a realistic scope when priorities are visible early.
Describe how a space is actually used at 7am and 9pm, not just how you'd like it to look in photos.
